Genesis Climber MOSPEADA is the original name for the 25 episode series that made up the third portion of Robotech, The New Generation Saga.

The original series only lasted one season in Japan before being cancelled, but not because it wasn't well written or animated poorly. It was cancelled because it just couldn't get good ratings due to it's miserable Sunday morning time slot. It does have a loyal fan following, which includes me, and it does have a "sequel", a music video collection/faux-documentary about Yellow Belmont (Lancer), called "Live, Love, Alive".

The original story takes place in the year 2083, 33 years after the Earth was invaded by aliens known as the Inbit, whose goal is to evolve themselves into "the ultimate form". The series starts with the second recapture fleet from Mars Base arriving in Earthspace, and being destroyed with only one survivor, Lt. Cmdr. Stick Bernard. Along the way he encounters Rey, a idealistic wanderer; Yellow Belmont, a Mars Base pilot from the First Recapture Mission who disguises himself as the female pop idol Yellow; Houguet (Fuke) Eroze, a lone wolf biker; Jim Austin, a pacifistic mecha mechanic from the First Recapture Mission; Asiha, a Solugi stage Inbit who reminds Stick of his late fiancee; and Mint, a young girl who has a strong romantic streak.
